About our Head Chef
Our Head Chef is a Master Chef by German standards since 1968 and worked in a variety of exquisite European restaurants and hotels where he gathered a wealth of experience over the years. Besides his full time job he worked as an auditor for the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in the city of Münster, North-Rhine-Westphalia, department of gastronomy for many years and was training apprentices to become head chefs.
He was able to prove his expertise in competitions and collected a lot of local gastronomy awards. Eventually he became Head Chef of a German Bank, being responsible for the senior managements and special guest’s food needs and staff catering. He is respected for the usage of local produce and his ambition to ensure that carbon friendly food is combined with re-invented, almost forgotten traditional, real German recipes. Besides being a ´German food lover, the chef is passionate about French food so occasionally you’ll also find the odd Franconian dish and speciality and of course his “world” favourites.
