Goat’s Cheese Tarte
Traditional, delicious and extremely quick and easy to prepare "Flammkuchen" (or Tarte Flambe).
Ingredients
- 300g wheat flour, sieved.
- 25g fresh yeast
- Some milk, enough for a slim dough
- 3-4 medium-sized onions, sliced.
- 150g smoked bacon, thinly sliced
- 1 carton of sour cream
- 100g of goat's cheese, crumbled.
- 2 tbsp. Olive oil.
- Some fresh thyme, plucked and chopped.
- Salt, Pepper.
Preparation
The Tarte Dough.- Crumble the yeast into lukewarm milk and knead the flour and some olive oil into a smooth, firm dough.
- Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and place in a warm place for 25-30mins. to rise.
- Knead the dough again and roll out thinly. Place on a baking tray and let it rise again slightly.
- Add the salt, pepper and some fresh thyme to the sour cream to taste. Spread evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the slices of onion, bacon and crumbled goat's cheese over the dough.
- Place the tray on the highest shelf in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Serving suggestion
When ready, cut into bite-size pieces immediately and serve with a glass of dry white wine.
