Whisky-Banana Trifle
An incredibly quick and easy layered dessert in a whisky glass
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 4 shots of whisky
- 200g cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
- 2 fresh vanilla pods
- 60g sugar
- 80g tea biscuits
- 80g pecan nuts, almonds, pistachios or peanuts
- 1 lemon
Preparation
- Cook the sugar and 2 shots of water in a pan until syrup-like in appearance
- Slice the bananas and add juice of ½ a lemon and some lemon zest
- Allow to cool and add the whisky
- Chop the nuts into large chunks
- Mix the cream cheese, vanilla pods, lemon zest and sugar to taste until creamy
- Half-fill the whisky glasses with broken biscuits and crumbs
- Add some of the syrup-mix, followed by banana and some nuts and cream
- Top-off with the rest of the nuts and place in the fridge for 2-3 hours and serve as-is
